Plain-language summary

Written in plain language. Where a detail has not been decided yet, this page says so rather than guessing.

The finalist payment

Teams selected as finalists (the Top 20 teams of each challenge track, announced on 17 Nov) confirm participation with one fixed ₹500 payment per team.

The Team Leader makes the payment once, for the whole team. The amount is the same for a team of 1, 2 or 3 students, so a solo team pays the same ₹500. It is not charged per student.

Payment is not a scored round

Paying confirms a team’s participation. It is an administrative confirmation, not a scored round, and it never affects a team’s scores or results.

When to pay

Payment opens only after the finalist announcement on 17 November 2026 and must be completed before 24 November 2026. Payment details are shared with finalists by email.

Mentoring slot booking is locked until the payment succeeds and unlocks automatically afterwards. Each finalist team gets one 15-minute industry mentoring session. Extra guidance can be requested from Team RISE at risehackathon.support@thepupil.in.

Bonafide certificate (separate from payment)

Submission opens on 17 November 2026 with the results announcement: each selected student submits a bonafide certificate issued by their school (PDF, JPG or PNG) in the finalist dashboard. The last date is 24 November 2026. It is required for school confirmation and Grand Finale participation, and it is separate from the ₹500 payment and from mentoring booking: it does not unlock or block either. Detailed verification criteria will be confirmed separately.

How to pay

The payment method and provider will be shared with finalists before payments open. Card, bank and UPI details are handled by the provider and are never stored by this website.

Receipt

When a payment succeeds, the team receives confirmation of the amount paid and a receipt.

Refunds and tax

Refund terms, and any tax or invoicing details, are to be confirmed by the organisers. Until they are officially approved and published, nothing about refunds or tax is promised on this page.
